Skechers USA, Inc. was founded in 1992 in California by Robert Greenberg and his son Michael. The company initially produced lifestyle footwear aimed primarily at men and women aged 19 to 40. As the company grew, the people at Skechers became more attentive to the needs of young people and followed the same trends as did the cool kids, thus starting to produce shoes for children and young people as well. As early as in 1995, Robert and Michael Greenberg launched their own brand, Skechers, which soon became world famous for its trendy and high quality models. Today, Skechers offers a wide range of shoe models, from athletic and casual shoes to the models that follow the latest fashion trends designed for people of all ages and the entire family.
